Warranty framework

Warranty and product care

A good warranty is specific, readable and backed by a real service operation.

Draft only. This page does not establish a real warranty. Before selling a product, the business must publish a legally reviewed warranty consistent with mandatory consumer rights in each market.

What a real warranty should explain

A final warranty must name the legal seller and manufacturer, define the coverage period, describe what is covered, identify exclusions that are lawful, explain how a claim is submitted, state who pays transport and labour, and describe the available remedies. It should distinguish a voluntary commercial warranty from statutory consumer rights.

Safety and maintenance records

Customers should keep proof of purchase, serial number, charging equipment details and maintenance records. Follow the exact product manual and do not modify the propulsion system, battery pack or safety controls. Unapproved modifications may create safety risks and can affect voluntary warranty coverage where legally permitted.

Battery and water exposure

Battery damage, impact, water ingress and charging incidents require careful technical assessment. A real warranty must state the process for reporting these issues without asking customers to perform dangerous diagnostics. Never ask a customer to open a battery pack or continue using a product that shows signs of thermal or structural failure.

Submitting a claim

  1. Contact the real support team with proof of purchase and serial number.
  2. Describe the issue and when it began.
  3. Provide photos or video only where it is safe to do so.
  4. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for stopping use, packaging and return.
  5. Do not ship a lithium battery until the company provides compliant instructions and the carrier accepts the shipment.

Mandatory consumer protections may apply regardless of the wording of a voluntary warranty. Obtain legal review for every country where the product will be sold.
